VORAs first trip of the year turned out to be a great weekend exploring Pisgah National Forest!
Once we arrived at Old NC Route 105, we began to take in the scenery and found some great camp spots to save for later.
Our first campsite provided an EPIC view of Table Rock, just across the valley.
After watching a beautiful sunrise while cooking breakfast, we checked out the area, scouting campsites.
Our last campsite of the trip offered some seclusion away from the road, plenty of beautiful scenery, and
the calming sounds of the creek rushing past while preparing dinner and
settling in for the night by the fire.
The VORA Team had a fantastic, relaxing weekend exploring this section of the Pisgah National Forest.

Amazing views, a wonderful sunset and sunrise, and autumn colors, this trip did not disappoint!
We started up Union Station and camped near the top, then went down Flag Pole, took HWY 33 to Second Mountain, followed the very narrow Rocky Run for a down and back before finishing on Long Run because the weather took a turn.
The VORA crew also cleared a tree from HWY 33 that was blocking the road using their wenches and tackle. Overall, amazing trip!
